Police have arrested two people along with arms and ammunition from in front of Ideal School in Gul-shan area of the capital.
The arrestees were identified as Russel Shikdar alias Killer Russel, 25 and Md Mohiuddin, 22.
Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 5:35 pm on Sunday and arrested them, said Deputy Commissioner (media) Talebur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Monday.
Police also seized one foreign-made pistol, one magazine, four bullets, one motorcycle and two mobile phone sets from their possession, he said.
However, the arrestees failed to show any legal documents in support of the firearms in their possession, he added.
A case was filed in this connection.
