Staff Reporter:
BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that they are very happy as the nation is ready to accord a grand reception to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in fascist-free Bangladesh.
“The fascist regime was toppled by a student-people uprising last year. We are very happy and pleased that the nation will welcome BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in a fascist-free Bangladesh,” he said while briefing reporters in front of the VIP gate of the Hazrat Shahjalal Airport in the capital on Thursday morning (25 December).
The BNP leader said the country and the world will see the return of Tarique Rahman.
Asked about Wednesday night’s bomb blast in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area, he said this was an attempt to foil the elections.
“Fascist forces are active. They are trying to destabilise the country from India and hinder the democratic journey through foiling polls. But we will prevent them unitedly,” he added.
Salahuddin sought people’s cooperation to make Bangladesh truly a discrimination-free and democratic country.
