Newborn found dead in city

Police recovered the body of a male newborn, aged around one day, from a lane in Chandni Ghat area of Chawk Bazar in city on Tuesday afternoon.
The newborn, found in an unconscious state wrapped in black plastic, was rushed to Dhaka Medical Col-lege Hospital where physicians declared him dead.
Sub-inspector Ashraful of Chawk Bazar police said they collected CCTV footages from the area and try-ing to identify those responsible.
The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy and legal action will be taken accordingly, he said.
