Fugitive forces want to ensure their return before election: CA

Staff Reporter:

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus said on Tuesday that the fugitive forces are attempting to ensure their return to Bangladesh before the parliamentary election, and they will attempt to do so in various ways.

“Those who fled the country have realised that the young fighters are a major obstacle to their resurgence…their target is to remove these barriers before the polls and reestablish their dominance,” he said.

On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, Yunus addressed the nation this evening. State-owned Bangladesh Television (BTV), BTV News, and Bangladesh Betar simultaneously broadcast the speech.

Yunus mentioned that the secret assassination is one of the attempts by the fugitive forces to secure their comeback before the election, and that they have made preparations with even more severe plans.

He urged the country’s people to stand firm together against the fascist terrorists who are attempting to destabilise the country.

“We must not fall into their trap. The defeated fascist forces will never return to the sacred soil of this country,” he added.
