At least five more Dengue patients dead and 387 fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours till Sunday morning.
“We recorded deaths of five dengue patients in 24 hours ending at 8 am yesterday,” a spokesman of Di-rectorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said adding his office simultaneously recorded 387 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts during the same period.
“Out of the 387 fresh cases, 40 were hospitalized in Barishal division, 71 in Chattogram division, 83 in Dhaka division excluding capital, 55 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 53 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 33 in Khulna division, 26 in Mymensingh division, 22 in Rajshahi divi-sion and four in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 409 deaths while the dis-ease inflicted 100,447.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
