Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on Saturday said the government is taking all necessary steps to ensure Sharif Osman Hadi receives the best possible medical care.
He made the remarks during a meeting with the family of Osman Hadi at his official residence, the State Guest House Jamuna, in Dhaka.
Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha, has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in critical condition after being shot by assailants on Friday.
“If his physical condition requires treatment abroad, the government will make all necessary arrangements to ensure he receives care wherever needed,” Yunus said.
He added that people across the country are praying for Osman Hadi’s recovery and that all efforts are being made to provide him with the best available treatment.
Osman Hadi’s brother Abu Bakar Siddiq, his sister Masuma, and Inqilab Mancha leaders Abdullah Al Jaber, Fatima Tasnim Juma and Md Borhan Uddin attended the meeting.
