Dengue patient dies, 262 hospitalized in last 24hours

One dengue patient died and 262 were hospitalized all over the country during the last 24 hours till Sat-urday morning.
“During the period, 141 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division (out of city corporation) while 40 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 18 in Dhaka division, eight in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 40 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), three in Sylhet division and six in Mymensingh division,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases rose to 9,484 while 41 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.
Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
