2 die from Covid in 24hrs

Staff Reporter:

Two people died from Covid-19 in the 24 hours till Friday morning, says the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Fifteen were diagnosed with the disease over the same period.

On 5 June, one people died from Covid-19, the first reported death since the pandemic ebbed in late 2021. No more death was reported until Friday.

The last Covid-19 lockdown was enforced in the country August 2021, and around the same time other nations also enforced their last major Covid-19 safety protocols.

Now, the novel coronavirus is resurfacing in India and Bangladesh, renewing concerns.
