Chief Adviser Prof Mohammad Yunus expressed his deepest condolences following the tragic plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad area of India on Thursday.
“I am shocked to learn of the tragic crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers in Ahmedabad. We extend our deepest condolences to all the families who lost their dear ones at this tragic incident,” the Chief Adviser said in a message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At this trying hour, he said, their thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their loved ones.
“We stand in solidarity with the people and the government of India, and offer our full support in any form,” Yunus said.
A London-bound passenger plane crashed on Thursday in India’s western city of Ahmedabad with 242 on board, aviation officials said in what the airline called a tragic accident.
