Beware of fraud in name of police

The Police Headquarters (PHQ) in a statement yesterday called upon all to remain aware of fraud in the name of police.
Recently, there have been allegations that a fraud ring is using the names and pictures of police officers to cheat people in various ways by pretending to be members of the Bangladesh Police, it said.
“Everyone is requested to be vigilant and careful about such fraud rings and not to fall into their trap,” it said.
The statement said that the police continue to take legal action against the fraud ring, it added. “Bangla-desh Police is committed to providing security to the people,” the statement read.
