Protest, rallies banned on some roads

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all forms of rallies and gatherings in some areas of the capital.
The decision announced in a statement on Saturday, signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.
According to the statement, the ban will be effective in the areas adjacent to Kochukhet Road, Bi-joy Sarani, the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO), Birsreshtho Shaheed Jahangir Gate, BAF Shaheen College, Mohakhali Flyover, Sainik Club intersection, Bhashantek, Matikata and ECB Chattar.
