Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said if expatriates come to the country and invest in business, his party will stand by them and do its best to resolve any issues in this regard.
He said this while addressing a view exchange programme at the office of the British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BBCCI) in London on Wednesday.
Shafiqur said they want to build a youth-rich Bangladesh where the youth will bravely and uncompromisingly dedicate themselves to the work of building the country.
In response to a question regarding what kind ofBangladesh Jamaat wants, he said Bangladesh will neither bePakistannor be Afghanistan…Bangladesh will be like Bangladesh.
Jamaat Ameer also said that nothing will happen in Bangladesh without the participation of women. Women will work with full security and self-respect, he added.
Shafiqur said they don’t consider anyone as minority or majority in the country. We are all Bangladeshis. “Together we want to build a united Bangladeshwhere followers of every religion can safely practice their religion.”
BBCCI President Rafiq Haider chaired the programme conducted by Director General Solicitor Dewan Mahdi.
