A total of 127,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh will be able to perform Hajj.
Of these, 10,198 will go through the government quota (including Hajj guides), and 117,000 will go through private agencies (also including Hajj guides).
This information was shared in a letter sent by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to the Hajj agencies on Wednesday, detailing the allocation of quotas for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
The letter mentions that the 2025 Hajj, corresponding to the Islamic year 1446, will take place on June 5, 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon.
The Saudi government has allocated a quota of 127,198 Hajj pilgrims for Bangladesh this year.
The letter also stated that Hajj guides must complete all pre-registration and related formalities just like the pilgrims themselves.
A list of Hajj guides must be submitted to the Ministry of Religious Affairs within the specified deadline. Registration for the Hajj began on September 1 and will continue until November 30, 2024.
According to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, by 6 PM on Wednesday, a total of 10,787 pilgrims had registered on the Hajj portal—2,945 under the government quota and 7,842 under the private sector.
