Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury yesterday said the gov-ernment will provide all kinds of assistance and cooperation for the treatment of the injured in the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
He made the remark while visiting two city hospitals– the National Institute of Traumatology & Ortho-paedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and the National Institute of Opthalmology & Hospital (NIOH) –to see the injured in the capital.
“The government will provide all necessary support for treatment of the injured of the recent Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement,” the home affairs adviser said, said a press release.
Replying to a query, the home affairs adviser said the physicians of the hospitals are very sincere and careful in this regard.
The advisor enquired about the treatment of the injured students and sympathized with them.
During the visit, he also gave instructions to the authorities concerned to ensure better treatment of the injured students.
