Schools, colleges for indefinite period closed

All academic activities in schools, colleges, madrasas and polytechnic institutes in the country have been postponed for an indefinite period from Thursday amid countrywide violence over the quota reform movement.
A government circular was issued in this regard yesterday evening. It said, the Ministry of Education said that the decision has been taken ‘for the sake of the overall security and safety of the students.
The ministry came up with the announcement as at least six people died in clashes among the police, quota protesters and the activists of Bangladesh Chattra League countrywide.
