Violation of law and order won’t be tolerated: DMP chief

Staff Reporter:

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman on Friday warned that violation of law and order would not be tolerated during the movement of quota reformation in government jobs.

“There is an obligation to obey the court order. If anyone engages in activities violating law and order, it will not be tolerated,” he said.

The DMP chief came up with the warning while talking to the reporters at a programme he attended virtually.

He said the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court issued a status quo for a month on the High Court judgement regarding the quota system in public service.

As the issue is a matter of the court now, everyone should have confidence in and respect for the court, Habibur added.
