BSS signs 2 MoUs with Xinhua

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the national news agency of Bangladesh, yesterday signed two separate memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Xinhua News Agency and China Media Group with a view to strengthening cooperation in the field of news and information.
Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad and the authorized representatives of Xinhua News Agency and China Media Group signed the deals on behalf of their respective sides during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to China, according to a message received in Dhaka yesterday.
Under the MoUs, and Xinhua will extend beneficial cooperation to each other in the field of news and information in accordance with their respective domestic laws and their own policies.
In addition, the news agencies will exchange high-level visits to enhance mutual understanding and ex-change views on promoting bilateral cooperation agreements for such visits to be agreed upon through mutual consultations.
As per the agreements, Xinhua will conduct multilevel and wide-ranging cooperation with , including but not limited to, exchange news and information and information products, and conduct personal ex-changes, training and seminars for reporters, editors and technical experts.
and China Media Group will strengthen technological exchanges and cooperation, specially innovation and development in media technologies.
