Bangladesh Meteorological Department yesterday predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at all eight divisions of the country today.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over the North Bay, Met department said.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
However, as an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the rainfall activity is likely to increase.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 32.8 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi while yester-day’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bandarban.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6 am yesterday was recorded 292 mm in Khepupara.
The sun sets at 6.50 pm yesterday and rises at 5:17 am today in the capital.
