Faridpur: Two motorcyclists were killed in an accident on a rain-soaked road in Boalmari, Faridpur at around 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
According to locals, a passenger bus traveling from Alfadanga to Faridpur collided head-on with a mo-torcycle coming from the opposite direction. Locals reported that the motorcycle was speeding reckless-ly. In the collision, the motorcyclist was crushed under the bus’s wheels, and the other rider fell onto the road, sustaining a fatal head injury and dying on the spot. Following the accident, the bus driver and staff abandoned the vehicle and fled away.
Md. Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station, stated that police went to the spot after receiving the information. The bus is being seized and brought to the police station, and a case is being processed.
