Staff Reporter:
BNP, the country’s biggest opposition party, has dissolved its units in four cities – Dhaka South, Dhaka North, Barishal and Chattogram – amid infighting, leadership crisis, poor record on anti-government movements and allegations of corrupt management.
The four committes of Chhatra Dal, BNP’s student wing, in Dhaka city as well as the central committee of the youth wing Jubo Dal have also been dissolved.
The matters were revealed in separate press statements issued Friday midnight.
Notably, the four city committees were led by conveners, and many activists had been eagerly waiting for fully functional committees.
