DSCC deploys 91 teams to resolve waterlogging

On Monday, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) deployed 91 teams, each with five members, to immediately resolve the waterlogging caused by Cyclone Remal.

The DSCC also introduced a monitoring cell to address the situation, said a statement of the city corporation asking the city dwellers to dial 01709900888 to contact the respective officials for help.

Besides, the authorities have already deployed 80 teams of west management and 11 of the engineering department to mitigate the problem, it said.

Regional executive officers, engineers and higher officials of the waste management department are overseeing the activities.

The city dwellers have been urged not to throw waste everywhere to avoid the waterlogging problem, added the statement.
