6 transport extortionists held in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested six persons who were allegedly involved in collecting extor-tion illegally from the transport in the city’s Jatrabari area.
“Being informed, a team of RAB-10 arrested them from the city’s Jatrabari Thana area around 2.30pm on Saturday”, said assistant director of RAB-10 M J Sohel.
The arrestees were identified as M Abdur Rashid, 66, M Babul Hossen, 56, M Shahidul Islam, 45, M Arman, 42, M Foysal Hossen, 35, and M Russel Khan Rony, 30.
RAB also recovered six sticks, six mobile phones and Taka 19,240 from their possessions.
