Squadron Leader Muhammad Asim Jawad was laid to eternal rest with state honours at his home district in Manikganj after Juma prayer on Friday.
He was buried at a graveyard in the city after the third namaj-e-janaza.
A press release sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the matter this noon.
The body of the pilot of a Bangladesh Air Force Yak-130 jet trainer that crashed in Karnaphuli River, arrived in Manikganj around 12:00pm.
On Thursday, the training aircraft took off from the BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram around 10:25am as part of regular training. It met the accident due to technical glitches while it was returning to the base after the training session.
