River ports hoist signal no. 1

River ports in 11 districts have been asked to hoist cautionary signal no. 1 due to possible inclement weather.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary west/north-westerly gusty or squally wind (at 45-60 kph speed) are likely to occur over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, My-mensingh and Sylhet.
The warning will be valid till 6 pm this evening.
