Under the initiative of the Ministry of Livestock, milk, eggs and meat are being sold at fair prices in 35 districts, including Dhaka, during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.
Under the programme, a total of 591, 971 people bought the products till 27 Ramadan since the beginning of the programme, according to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock on Monday.
Initially, the items were sold in the city, which was later extended to 35 districts.
During the period, the government has sold around 1.92 lakh kg of beef, 5,131 kg of mutton, 2.16 lakh kg of dressed broilers, 2.38 lakh litres of liquid milk, 42.93 lakh eggs. The total value of the products stands at Tk22.33 crore.
