The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain in many places across the country today.
“Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions,” the Met office said in a forecast on Thursday morning.
The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said, adding that day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, and a seasonal low lies over the south Bay, the BMD said.
The country’s highest temperature was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, while the lowest temperature – 18.2 degrees Celsius – was recorded in Nikli, Kishoreganj yesterday.
