No terminal exams in class I – III

Staff Reporter:

The government has decided that the students of class I to class III will not have to appear in the first and second terminal examinations from this year, said Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmad.

The performance of the students in the classes will be evaluated continuously through apps, he told reporters while addressing a press conference at the secretariat here on Thursday.

He said an app has been developed to evaluate the students. The government is trying to free the students from extra loads, he said, adding students will also be evaluated on their overall performances at school.

It is mentionable that the implementation of a new curriculum at primary and secondary levels began in 2023. The system will be implemented at class XII in 2027.
