9 rail coaches derailed, several hurt

Cumilla: Nine rail coaches of Bijoy Express derailed at Hasanpur in Cumilla yesterday afternoon and several persons were reportedly injured.
Train services from Chittagong to Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh train have remained stopped after the incident.
The accident took place in Tejer Bazar area of Dhalua Union of Nangalkot Upazila. However, the cause of the accident count not be known immediately.
Nangalkot upazila UNO Ismail Hossain told reporters that nine rail coaches of Bijoy Express de-railed at Hasanpur this afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, some coaches of the train were scattered from the line after the acci-dent.
