One of Gazipur gas cylinder blast victims dies

A 45-year-old man, who was among 32 people undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka following a gas cylinder blast in Gazipur, died at the institute on Friday morning.

Solaiman Molla sustained 95% burns and succumbed to his injuries around 10am at the intensive care unit, said Dr Hossain Imam, assistant director of the institute.

On 13 March, a fire from a gas cylinder leakage at Mouchak Telirchala in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur left at least 35 people, particularly pedestrians, injured. Of them, Solaiman and 31 others were admitted to the burn institute.
