President Mohammed Shahabuddin reached United Kingdom (UK) from United Arab Emirates (UAE) Tuesday night (Bangladesh Time) for a health check up.
“The President reached London at 04:30 pm (London time) from Dubai starting to fly at 12:30 pm (local time) on Tuesday by an aircraft of Emirates Airlines,” Md Ashequn Nabi Chowdhury, press minister at the High Commission of Bangladesh in London, the United Kingdom (UK), told yes-terday.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem and senior officials concerned received the President at the Heathrow Airport, London last night (Bangladesh time).
President’s wife Dr Rebecca Sultana and secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban are accompany-ing him.
Upon his arrival at the city of Cambridge, President Shahabuddin was greeted with flowers by the expatriate Bengalis and UK unit of Bangladesh Awami League leaders.
