The law enforcers have detained manager of Kacchi Bhai and two owners of the fast food shop ‘Chumuk’ over the capital’s Bailey Road fire that has claimed at least 46 lives so far.
Of the detainees, Jisan is a manager of the Kacchi Bahi and Anwarul Haque and Shakil Ahmed are owners of the fast food shop Chumuk, Additional Commissioner (Crime and Ops) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Kh Mohid Uddin told the reporters on Friday evening.
They are now undergoing interrogation and police will file a case against them on completion of the grilling, he said.
He, however, said that the family members of the victims will also be able to file cases against them if they think so.
The devastating fire that broke out at a multi-storey building last night, claimed a total of 46 lives and of them, 20 were men, 18 were women and 8 were children.
