Sylhet: Two people died and another person was injured when a tractor overturned while crossing the road at Chirurpar village in Toakul union of Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as tractor driver Raju, 30 of Kandigram village and helper Halim Uddin, 30 of Chirurpar village of the upazila.
According to police and local sources, the tractor overturned while they were crossing the Gowainghat-Salutikar main road after cultivating the fields.
Locals took the injured to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gowainghat Police Station confirmed the matter.
A police team was sent to the spot immediately after receiving the information, said the OC.
