Prof Sitesh Chandra appointed as DU pro-VC

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has appointed Prof Sitesh Chandra Bachar as the pro-vice-chancellor of Dhaka University.

The Ministry of Education issued a circular in this regard on Thursday.

The tenure of his appointment will be four years from the date of his joining the office, read the circular.

Prof Sitesh Chandra is currently serving as the dean of Faculty of Pharmacy.

He is also the convener of the Awami League-backed Blue Panel teachers’ platform at the university.
