The public will be able to avail the services of metro rail on the Uttara-Motijheel route from morning to night from Saturday.
“The first train will leave Uttara for Motijheel at 7:10am and it will continue until 8:30pm,” Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd Managing Director MAN Siddique said at a press conference on Thursday.
“The last train will leave Motijheel at 8:40pm,” he added.
Except Friday (weekly holiday), the services will be available for six days every 10-12 minutes.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the country’s first-ever electricity-powered elevated rail system on the Uttara–Agargaon route on 28 December 2022. On 4 November last year, she launched the services on the Agargaon-Motijheel section.
