AL urges voters to cast vote, ignore BNP’s rumor

A Correspondent:

Noakhali: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday called upon the people to go to polling centers without any fear avoiding BNP’s rumor and propaganda.
“Boycott the programme of BNP-Jamaat spreading panic in polls. Law enforcement agencies and securi-ty forces have been deployed to help for holding a peaceful election,” he urged the voters in a press con-ference in his Noakhali-5 constituency (Companiganj-Kabirhat).
He added: “Come to polling centers without any fear and cast your vote to exercise your constitutional rights. Don’t bow down to any sorts of intervention and intimidation.”
Quader hoped polls will be held across the country in a free, fair, neutral and peaceful manner as foreign and local observers and foreign journalists will observe the election.

“We are expressing strong protest and condemnation over the heinous terrorist activity,” he said.
BNP-Jamaat evil force wants to destroy the country and its peace as they are defeated force of the 1971 Liberation War and killers of 1975. “So, none can believe them. They want to do politics by torching people. Canadian Federal Court’s verdict proved again that BNP is a terrorist organisation,” he said.
He said BNP called for boycotting election and they are spreading anti-election propaganda continuous-ly.
Bangladesh never bows down to any evil force and won’t do so in the days to come as well, he said.
“They are setting trains and buses on fire. The people of Bangladesh are apprised of their terrorist
