Bogura: A Fire Service and Civil Defence firefighter died in the Pakrail area after falling from a motor-cycle on the Dupchanchia-Akkelpur road in Bogura on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Jewel Hossain (31) of Biharpur village in Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat.
According to locals, Jewel was on his way to the Kahalu Fire Service and Civil Defence office on a mo-torcycle. Suddenly, he lost control and fell on the other side of the road. Another motorcycle coming from Akkelpur ran over his head.
Later, locals rescued him and took him to the Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex, where doctors de-clared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dupchanchia Police Station Sanatan Chandra Sarker said a case was filed in this regard.
However, no arrest was made.
