25 nomination papers valid for 5 seats in Jamalpur

Jamalpur: Election Commission yesterday declared 25 nomination papers valid out of 38 after necessary scrutiny for contesting in the polls of Jamalpur five constituencies.
District Returning Officer Md Shafiur Rahman said we received 38 nomination papers and after neces-sary scrutiny, we found 25 nomination papers valid for five
constituencies in the district. He said we also cancelled 13 nomination papers for
various reasons including providing of wrong information.
In Jamalpur-1 (Bakshiganj-Dewangaj Upazila) constituency, six candidates
submitted their nomination papers. After necessary scrutiny election commission cancelled nominations of Mohammad Golam Mostafa (Trinomul BNP), Ziaul Haque (Ind) and Md Mahbubul Hassan (Ind).
They election commission also found nomination papers valid of Nur
Mohammad (AL), SM Abu Sayem (Jatiya Party) and Abdullah Al Mamun (Krishak Shramik Janata League).
In Jamalpur-2 (Islampur sadar Upazila) constituency seven candidates submitted their nomination papers and after scrutiny election commission cancelled candidature of Abdul Halim Madol (Jaker Party), Shahjahan Ali Mandol (Ind), SM
Shahinuzzaman (Ind) and Ziaul Haque Zia (Ind).
The valid candidates in the constituency are-Faridul Haque Khan Dulal (AL),
Mostafa Al Mahmud (Jatiya Party) and Hossen Reza Babu (Trinomul BNP).
In Jamalpur-3 (Madarganj-Melandah Upazila) constituency five candidates
submitted their nomination papers and election commission cancelled nomination
paper of Nurul Islam (Ind).The valid candidates are- Mirza Azam (AL), Mir Samsul Alam Lipton (Jatiya Party), Md Joynal Abedin (Jaker Party) and Nazrul Islam (Jatiya Party (JP).
In Jamalpur-4 (Sarishabari Upazila) constituency nine candidates submitted their
nominations. Election commission cancelled the nominations of Sanowar Hossain Badsha (Ind) and Tarik Mahdi (BNF).
The valid candidates in the constituency are Mahbubur Rahman Helal (AL), Abul Kalam Azad (Jatiya Party), SM Rabiul Islam (Jaker Party), Mohammad Saiful Islam Tukan (Trinomul BNP), Golam Mo-hammad Zinnah (JSD), former State Minister Dr Murad Hassan (Ind) and Principal Abdur Rashid (Ind).
In Jamalpur-5 (Jamalpur Sadar Upazila) constituency 11 candidates submitted
their nomination papers. The Election commission cancelled nomination papers
of Abdul Karim Sarkar (Bangladesh Congress), Zakir Hossain (Ind) and Engineer
Mohammad Ali (Ind).
The valid candidates in the constituency are- Md Abul Kalam Azad (AL), Md Zakir Hossain Khan (Jati-ya Party), Rezaul Karim Reznur (Ind), Abu Sayem Mohammad Sadat Ul Karim (Bangladesh Congress), Advocate Md Babar Ali Khan (Jatiya Party (JP), Md Rafiqul Islam (National Peoples Party), Syed Mon-irul Haque Nobel (Jaker Party) and Advocate Sabiruzzaman Sujan (Supreme Party).
