Nomination papers of all JaPa aspirants in Manikganj cancelled

Manikganj: Nomination papers of all Jatiya Party candidates in Manikganj have been cancelled due to loan default and gas bill arrears.
District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Rehana Akhter rejected their nomination papers in presence of the candidates or their representatives on Sunday.
She said that the nomination papers were rejected due to default of loans of two persons and gas bill ar-rears of one person.
The returning officer said that 33 candidates had submitted their nomination papers in three constituen-cies of Manikganj. Of these, nomination papers of 12 aspirants have been considered invalid for various reasons.
However, those nomination papers that have been cancelled, they can appeal between December 5-9, Returning Officer Rehana Akhter said.
