Jamalpur: On the last day of the submission of nomination paper, Organizing Secretary Bangladesh Awami League, Mirza Azam submitted his nomination paper to the Upazila returning officer of Madar-ganj yesterday afternoon.
He submitted the nomination paper to the Upazila returning officer Faijul Wasima Nahat to contest in the upcoming general election from Jamalpur-3 (Madarganj- Melandah Upazila) constituency.
The AL Organizing Secretary, Mirza Azam who was elected Member of Parliament (MP) six times from Jamalpur-3 constituency filed the nomination paper for the seventh time.
Madarganj Upazila AL President Ziban Krishna Saha, its General Secretary, Obidur Rahman Belal, Mayor Jamalpur Municipality Mohammad Sanowar Hossain Sanu and Mayor Madarganj Municipality Mirza Golam Kibria Kabir were present, among others, at that time.
Earlier, Mirza Azam also submitted nomination paper to Melandah Upazila Returning Officer for the same seat.
