Govt primary school room set on fire in Gazipur

A Correspondent:

Gazipur: Miscreants set fire to a tin-shed room of a government primary school in Bormi union under Sreepur upazila of Gazipur earler yesterday, police said.
Locals said unidentified miscreants set a tin-shed room of Gilashawar Late A. Jabbar Government Primary School on fire yesterday morning.
Noticing the blaze, locals rushed to the spot and put it out within a short time.
The fire left a few benches, fans and surrounding fences burnt.
AFM Nasim, officer-in-charge of Sreepur police station, said it could not be immediately known who set fire to the school room.
An investigation was underway to identify the accused involved with the incident, he said, adding that efforts are on to nab the arsonists.
