Three killed in Khagrachhari ‘gunfight’

Khagrachhari: Three people were killed in a reported gunfight between two criminal groups in a remote area in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari district on Monday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Ferdous Wahid, Officer-in-Charge of Panchhari Police Station, said two groups of criminals exchanged gunfire over establishing supremacy around 12:30 pm, leaving three people dead on the spot.
Police are on the way to the spot to recover the bodies, said the OC.
The OC also said it was not immediately known whether any armed hill group was involved in the inci-dent.
