Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted moderate rain in different parts of the country today.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna & Dhaka divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morn-ing.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature yesterday was 36.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore, while yesterday’s minimum tem-perature is 22 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
The sun sets at 6.50 pm yesterday and rises at 5.12 am today in Dhaka.
