The government has announced that it will implement a “zero tolerance” policy against any form of violence or sexual harassment against female workers and employees in the workplace.
In addition, safe housing and transport facilities for women will be expanded further, and a fully women-operated and women-managed “Pink Bus Service” will be introduced, Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said while proposing the budget for fiscal year 2026-27 in the parliament on Thursday.
