Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecast rain and thundershowers in different parts of the country today.
The bulletin said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it added.
A mild heatwave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Nilphamari, Chuadanga and Khulna and may spread further, according to the bulletin.
The country’s highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while yesterday’s minimum temperature was 22.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the capital, the sun will set at 6:45 pm today and rise at 5:10 am tomorrow.
