BGB deployed in Dhaka, Gazipur ahead of Eid

The government has deployed BGB personnel in Dhaka and Gazipur districts to ensure public security during the upcoming Eid festival, and help control road traffic amid the home-bound rush.

BGB was deployed in the capital and surrounding areas on Thursday and will continue to operate until three days after the Eid day.

They will operate in the shopping hotspot of New Market, and the Elevated Expressway areas in the capital as well as in Nabinagar and Baipail areas of Dhaka district. Outside Dhaka, BGB service members are operating in Gazipur City Corporation areas and in Gazipur four-way intersection.
