The government has recruited 96 candidates of 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination-2005 under various cadres.
Ministry of Public Administration has issued notification yesterday in this regard.
Senior secretary of Public Administration Ministry Md Ehsanul Haque signed the recruitment circular which said that candidates have been appointed to the entry posts of various cadres of the BCS with the salary range of Taka 22,000-53060/- as per the National Pay Scale, 2015.
The notification stated that the recruited officers will have to receive foundation course from the Bang-ladesh Public Administration Training Centre or at a training institution designated by the government.
“After completion of the basic training, they shall undergo such professional and special training at the related institutions as determined by the government,” it said.
The notification said the officers will have to work as probation for two years, and it necessary, the gov-ernment may extend this probationary period for more than two years.
If any officer is considered unfit to continue in the service during the probationary period, he or she may be removed from service without any reason and without consultation with the Bangladesh Public Ser-vice Commission (BPSC), the notification said.
The service of the officers will be confirmed in the service on successful completion of the training and passing the departmental examination satisfactorily.
As per the notification, the government recruited 48 candidates as assistant commissioner under the ad-ministration cadre, one as assistant accountant general, two as assistant district Ansar adjutant/equivalent post, two as assistant commissioner (Customs and Excise), two as assistant registrar (Somobaya), one as assistant food controller/equivalent post, two as assistant secretary (Foreign service), one as family plan-ning officer, one assistant director/information officer/research officer/similar position, 13 as assistant superintendent of police, one as assistant traffic superintendent (Railway Transport and Commercial), four as assistant tax commissioner, one as agriculture extension officer, one as lecturer (mathematics), four as assistant surgeon (Health), two as assistant news controller (Information), three as assistant civil engineer (Roads and Highways), one as statistics officer, three as assistant divisional engineer/ assistant engineer (Telecommunications), one as assistant engineer (Public Works) and two as assistant EM engi-neer (Public Works).
Ministry notification said that failing to report on May 18, 2026 will be treated as a refusal to accept the post, resulting in the immediate cancellation of the appointment.
