Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers in all eight divisions in today
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Chatto-gram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with hails at isolated places in 24-hour as of 9am today,” it said.
Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions and it may abate from most places.
Day temperature may fall by 1-3 degrees Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the coun-try.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 40.3 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga, and the minimum temperature yesterday was 19.7 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am yesterday was recorded 124mm at Srimangal.
The sun sets at 6:30 PM yesterday and rises at 5:21 AM today in the capital.
