A 14-km road in the Haor region in Kishoreganj was painted on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh in an attempt to set a world record.
The initiative named “Boishakh 1431 in Alpona” has been taken to uphold the Bengali culture of painting patterns and motifs.
More than 700 volunteers painted the Alpona on Friday. Former cultural affairs minister and sitting lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the initiative as the chief guest at Mithamoin Zero Point.
Asiatic Experiential Marketing Limited, Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited jointly organised the program.
This street painting is set to be unveiled on Sunday. State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak will attend the program as the chief guest in Mithamoin.
