Manager of Sonali Bank’s Ruma branch in Bandarban Nezam Uddin, who was abducted in connection with the incident of bank robbery, is in good health.
The public relations department of the bank disclosed this information on Thursday.
Meanwhile, all activities of Sonali Bank in three upazilas of Bandarban have been temporarily closed for security reasons.
In Bandarban, three out of seven branches of Sonali Bank remained closed on Thursday considering the risk.
The branches are Ruma, Thanchi and Roangchhari. Customers of these branches can transact from other branches. Sonali Bank’s Bandarban Sadar branch was closed on Wednesday after two consecutive days of attacks by armed men.
Sources said members of armed group abducted Nezam Uddin failing to get cash from his branch.
