India greets Bangladesh on Independence Day

India has greeted the people of Bangladesh marking the Independence Day expressing confidence that bilateral relations with Bangladesh will reach new heights.

Indian President Droupadi Murmu has sent a letter to her Bangladeshi counterpart Mohammed Shahabuddin on the occasion of Independence Day.

The Indian President conveyed on her behalf and on behalf of Government and the people of India, warmest greetings to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the National Day of Bangladesh.

She highlighted the qualitative transformation in India-Bangladesh relations in the last decade with remarkable growth in diverse areas, and expressed confidence that the leadership of the two countries will continue to endeavour towards further strengthening of people-to-people links between the two countries.
